Jesus Luzardo Ends Season On A High Note
2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo went out on top in his final 2022 start of the season, shutting the division-leading Atlanta Braves down for six scoreless innings while allowing four hits with one walk and 12 strikeouts in the team's 4-0 victory on Monday. Luzardo picked up his fourth win of the season in the process, and he'll finish the year 4-7 with a 3.32 ERA (3.12 FIP), a 1.04 WHIP, a career-high 120 strikeouts and 35 walks in 100 1/3 innings pitched over his 18 starts in his first full season with the Fish. It was one of the 25-year-old southpaw's best starts of the year, and he tied his career high for strikeouts in a single game. If Luzardo can stay healthy in 2023, he can certainly be an ace for fantasy managers.
