Jesus Luzardo Cleared To Play Catch, Pablo Lopez Throws Bullpen
2 years agoMiami Marlins left-hander Jesus Luzardo (forearm) and right-hander Cody Poteet (elbow) both played catch on Monday, while right-hander Pablo Lopez (wrist) threw a bullpen session. Luzardo was put on the injured list on May 15 with a left forearm strain, and he'll likely need a couple more weeks to work his way back to the team's starting rotation. The 24-year-old southpaw had a 4.03 ERA and 1.17 WHIP with 41 K's in 29 innings over six starts before his injury. He should remain stashed in most mixed leagues. Lopez was pulled from his last start on Friday against the Houston Astros after being hit on the right wrist by a comebacker, but he's listed as the scheduled starter on Wednesday against the Philadelphia Phillies.
