Jesse Winker's Rehab Almost Over
6 years agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker's (shoulder) rehab is essentially over, and he's just maintaining strength in his surgically repaired right shoulder now. He will start swinging a bat on Jan. 7. “I’ve already done some exercises with my training and rehab that if I were to do those in prior years, my shoulder would’ve been killing me,” Winker said. “It’s super refreshing to go do an exercise and my shoulder not hurt. It’s awesome. I’m really happy with how everything is progressing. I’m really looking forward to being healthy for a full season.” Winker is a rising young talent that was hitting .299 with seven home runs and 43 RBI in 89 games this year before his surgery. He could return excellent value for those that take a chance on him in the later rounds.
