Jesse Winker Likely Done For Season
6 years agoCincinnati Reds president of baseball operations Dick Williams said that outfielder Jesse Winker (shoulder) is likely done for the rest of the year. “He’ll be ready for spring training next year,” Williams said. “I don’t think we’ll see him playing this year.” It's a bad break for the Reds and Winker's owners, as he was hitting .299/.405/.431 with seven home runs and 43 RBI in 281 at-bats. He can be safely dropped in seasonal leagues. Phillip Ervin should benefit the most in the short term until Scott Schebler returns from the disabled list.
