Jeremy Pena Still Out Monday
2 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena (neck) remains out of the starting lineup on Monday against the division-rival Texas Rangers. Mauricio Dubon will get the start at the 6 and hit second in the batting order against Rangers left-hander Martin Perez. Pena has now missed the last four games due to neck tightness, and if he's unable to return soon, the Astros are going to have to consider putting him on the injured list heading into the All-Star break. Before waking up with a tight neck at the end of last week, Pena was on a modest five-game hitting streak, going 6-for-23 (.261) with a homer, three RBI and four runs scored. The 25-year-old Dominican is batting .247 (73-for-296) overall with nine homers, 30 RBI, eight steals and 40 runs on the year.
