Jeremy Jeffress To Be Eased Into High-Leverage Situations
6 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Jeremy Jeffress (shoulder), who will be activated from the injured list on Tuesday, will be eased into late-inning, high-leverage situations. He led the team with 73 outings in the regular season last year and posted a solid 1.29 ERA. He also had 15 saves and should eventually factor into the ninth-inning mix with Josh Hader now that Corey Knebel (elbow) is out for the year. Those in need of saves should have already picked up Jeffress, but you may want to wait a bit before deploring him, as he wasn't all that effective during his minor league rehab assignment.
