Jerad Eickhoff Might Make A Start This Week
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies starting pitcher Jerad Eickhoff, who missed most of the season with a lat strain and nerve issue in his right hand, could make a start in the final week of the season. He returned to the team earlier this month and has been pitching in relief. Manager Gabe Kapler said Eickhoff could "potentially" start one of the the final games. The right-hander made 33 starts two years ago and will likely report to spring training next year with a shot at a rotation spot if he's healthy. Eickhof has thrown just two innings in his two appearances out of the bullpen, so he wouldn't go long in a start and wouldn't make for a viable streaming option for fantasy owners.
