Jeimer Candelario Hits Three-Run Homer On Saturday
3 years agoDetroit Tigers third baseman Jeimer Candelario had the biggest hit in the game in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays. He went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk. He has now homered in two of his last three games and he has six home runs so far in September. The 27-year-old has done some good contact hitting this year with a .273 average over 139 games. However, he only had 10 home runs on the year before the calendar turned to September. He could be a much more valuable fantasy asset if he provided more consistent power to go along with his solid batting average. He's worth a look for fantasy managers in need of a reliable hitter down the stretch.
