Jedrick Wills Soaking Up Information From Virtual Program
5 years agoCleveland Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan has been impressed with rookie left tackle Jedrick Wills during the team's virtual offseason program. "He is really a sponge of information. He has absorbed all the content that you can give him and he wants more. I am really excited about him. I am eager to at some point get on the field with him," Callahan said. The coach also said that Wills "came alive on tape" during the scouting process, and the Browns are confident he's athletic and smart enough to make the transition from right to left tackle in the NFL. Callahan reiterated that the Browns drafted Wills in the first round for him to start immediately on quarterback Baker Mayfield's blind side. Improving Mayfield's protection was a high priority for Cleveland this offseason, and Wills is a big part of that.
