Jedd Gyorko Suffers Groin Strain Tuesday
6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Jedd Gyorko (groin) left the game early on Tuesday with a mild left groin strain, according to manager Mike Shildt. Gyorko had a double and a walk in four plate appearances before departing. He sits at a .267/.348/.436 slash line with 11 home runs, 41 runs scored and 43 RBI on the season. It's possible this injury could land him on the disabled list, so make plans to be without him. Greg Garcia, Yairo Munoz and Patrick Wisdom are all candidates to take over at the hot corner for however long Gyorko is out.
