6 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated third baseman Jedd Gyorko (groin) from the 10-day disabled list on Wednesday. Gyorko will probably play sparingly down the stretch as the Cardinals try to secure a playoff spot. The 29-year-old is batting .267/.348/.436 on the season with 11 home runs and 43 RBI. He's really only an option in NL-only leagues because of his uncertain playing time in the final couple of weeks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
