Jed Lowrie To Join Triple-A On Saturday
6 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Jed Lowrie, who has yet to make his season debut after suffering a knee injury in spring training, will move his rehab assignment to Triple-A Syracuse starting on Saturday. The 35-year-old could make his season debut with the Mets sometime late next week if he can avoid any setbacks. The Mets haven't rushed him back with plenty of options to help fill in at the hot corner in the first month of the season. Lowrie could be battling for playing time with Todd Frazier and J.D. Davis when he returns to New York.
