Jed Lowrie Still Has Work To Do
6 years agoNew York Mets third baseman Jed Lowrie (knee) spent the weekend in Washington rehabbing his knee, but at some point he'll need to go to Florida and take part in minor league games. Lowrie is at least several days or more away from live game action, but he did take ground balls, hit in an indoor cage and jogged in Washington this weekend. He has also run on an anti-gravity treadmill. The veteran infielder is at least several weeks away from making his season debut and his fantasy value continues to fall. Jeff McNeil should continue to man third base regularly with Lowrie on the shelf, and the longer Lowrie is out, the longer the Mets can keep both Peter Alonso and Dominic Smith on the big league roster.
