Jazz Chisholm Plans To Be Back On Next Homestand
3 years agoMiami Marlins infielder Jazz Chisholm (shoulder) expects to appear in a few minor league rehab games before returning on the team's next homestand, which begins on Friday, July 30, against the New York Yankees. Chisholm went on the 10-day injured list with a left shoulder bone bruise, but the good news is he doesn't have any structural damage to his arm. The 23-year-old should return to his regular role as the team's starting second baseman and leadoff hitter once he's fully healthy. Chisholm should remain rostered in all leagues, as he's hitting .251/.317/.437 on the year with 11 homers, 34 RBI and 11 stolen bases in 291 plate appearances. Joe Panik has carved out some short-term NL-only value at the keystone with Chisholm out, but he'll go back to a bench role when Chisholm is ready to return.
