Jazz Chisholm Jr. Says He's Ready To Go
2 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman/outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (shoulder), who suffered a stinger in his right shoulder on Wednesday, texted manager Skip Schumaker after the game that he was ready to go for Thursday's series opener against the New York Mets. Thursday's game against New York has been postponed, so Chisholm will get an extra day to rest and should be back in the starting lineup on Friday. Fantasy managers can let out a sigh of relief that the 25-year-old's injury wasn't more serious. So far in his career, he has been unable to stay healthy and played in just 60 games in 2022 due to multiple ailments. In the early going in 2023, Chisholm has gone just 4-for-21 (.190) with a double, home run, RBI, run scored and nine strikeouts in 24 plate appearances.
