Jazz Chisholm Jr. Remains Out Tuesday
2 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (toe) remains out of the starting lineup on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals. Chisholm is currently considered day-to-day after suffering turf toe in a collision with the outfield wall in a game on Saturday against the Cincinnati Reds. Hopefully, the 25-year-old will return to action at some point this week, but it's also not out of the realm of possibility that he'll need to go on the injured list. Chisholm does have seven home runs, 16 RBI and 14 stolen bases in 39 games this year, but he's also hitting just .229 (33-for-144) and has become an injury risk. With him out again, Garrett Hampson is starting in center field and batting leadoff against Nationals right-hander Josiah Gray. In 69 plate appearances in May, Hampson has gone 5-for-20 (.250) with two doubles, two RBI and six strikeouts.
