Jazz Chisholm Jr. Out Six Weeks With Stress Fracture
2 years agoA CT scan on Miami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s back revealed a stress fracture, according to sources. The timetable on this type of injury is roughly six weeks. It's a tough break for the 24-year-old All-Star, the Marlins and his fantasy managers. Chisholm had become a must-start for fantasy lineups in 2022, hitting .254/.325/.535 with an .860 OPS, 14 home runs, 45 RBI, 39 runs scored and 12 stolen bases in 241 plate appearances over 60 games, but now he'll be forced to miss around the next two months. Joey Wendle should see the majority of the starts at the keystone moving forward, with Luke Williams filling in occasionally, at least until Jon Bert returns from the injured list.
