Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leaves Game Early Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (hand) left the spring training game early on Tuesday after taking a ground ball off his right hand. It's unclear how serious this injury is, so fantasy managers will want to check back on Chisholm's status. If the 24-year-old's injury is serious enough to keep him out for the start of the regular season, infielder Jon Berti could see regular playing time at the keystone for Miami. Chisholm has an intriguing power-speed profile at second base, and he hit 18 home runs and stole 23 bases while slashing .248/.303/.425 in 507 plate appearances in his second MLB season, but he'll need to cut down on his strikeouts (28.6% K rate) if he wants to be considered among the highest tier at the position.
