Jazz Chisholm Jr. Leaves Game Early Against Cardinals
2 years agoMiami Marlins second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. (back) was replaced in the bottom of the second inning on Tuesday against the St. Louis Cardinals after likely aggravating his back injury. Chisholm missed the two previous games due to back spasms that have plagued him recently, so this isn't a good sign that he had to be removed early in his first game back. The 24-year-old went 0-for-1 before departing, and fantasy managers should be prepared for a possible stint on the injured list. Hopefully, he won't have to miss much time, as he entered the day with 14 home runs, 45 RBI, 39 runs scored and 12 stolen bases as a must-start in fantasy this year. Jon Berti is likely to see more playing time at the keystone if Chisholm misses extended time.
