Jazz Chisholm Jr. Lands On Injured List
1 year agoThe Miami Marlins placed outfielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. (oblique) on the 10-day injured list on Monday with a left-oblique strain that he suffered in the loss to the Atlanta Braves on Sunday. In a corresponding move, the team selected the contract of rookie utility player Dane Myers, whom they acquired in the minor-league phase of the Rule 5 draft in December. Pitcher Eli Villalobos was also designated for assignment. Chisholm previously spent a month and a half on the IL with turf toe, but he lasted just a week with Miami before going back on the shelf. The good news is the 25-year-old went 8-for-23 (.348) with two doubles, two homers, five RBI and four runs in six games last week, but now he'll be out indefinitely heading into the second half of the season.
