Jazz Chisholm 2025 Player Outlook: Can Jazz keep the music flowing in '25?
5 mins agoChisholm is coming off his best season as a pro, knocking 24 homers and stealing 40 bases. The oft-injured Chisholm also played in 147 games, a career high. As such, his draft price has skyrocketed, as Chisholm is currently the number 25 player off the board in NFBC leagues. It's easy to see the appeal. Not many players are capable of going 24-40 in homers and steals, and even fewer do it with multi-positional eligibility like Chisholm. Chisholm made plenty of improvements to his game in 2024 as well, chiefly a reduction in strikeout rate. Chisholm whiffed a whopping 30.8% of the time in 2023, but he cut that to a more manageable 24.5% in 2024. The left-handed hitting Chisholm saw his power rise after a midseason trade to the Yankees, with their famous short porch in right field. Chisholm had just a .158 ISO with Miami, but had a .227 ISO with the Yankees. Lots of reasons to be excited about Chisholm in 2025, but fantasy managers may want to exercise caution. Chisholm is injury-prone and coming off a career year, which is a recipe for an overpay. Still, stolen bases are hard to come by, so I wouldn't fault anyone for drafting him at cost. I'd try and get a round or two discount.
