6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder/first baseman Jay Bruce left the game early on Wednesday with left Achilles tightness. While not hitting for much average (.204), the left-handed slugger already has seven home runs and 13 RBI in his 57 plate appearances to start 2019. He had a double, run scored and a walk in two plate appearances before departing on Wednesday. Expect him to at least miss one game with the injury and possibly more. Bruce's injury could open up more playing time for Daniel Vogelbach, who has been impressive for his power so far, too.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
