Jason Kipnis To Be Activated Monday
6 years agoCleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis (calf) will rejoin the team and come off the injured list on Monday for the start of the series with the Mariners. Infielder Brad Miller was designated for assignment on Sunday to make room for Kipnis. Miller had eight hits in 32 at-bats (.250) while sharing time at the keystone with Max Moroff to begin the season. Kipnis will now be the regular second baseman for the Tribe. The 32-year-old probably won't help owners in average, but he could return to the 20-homer mark if he can stay healthy for the rest of the season. His return is a boost to Cleveland's offense overall.
