Jason Kipnis Continues Rehab Assignment
6 years agoCleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis (calf) will play eight or nine innings for Triple-A Columbus on Tuesday night as he continues his rehab assignment. He hit a double on Monday and has two hits and one walk in 10 plate appearances. Kipnis is getting closer and could make his season debut for the Tribe sometime next week, barring any setbacks. The Indians need all the help they can get up the middle with Francisco Lindor (calf) also on the injured list. Brad Miller and Max Moroff have been splitting time at the keystone to begin the season with Kipnis hurt. Kipnis will surely be an offensive upgrade over the two, and he has appeal in deeper mixed leagues if he's hitting.
