Jaron Brown Bulks Up
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaron Brown is fighting for a role in three-wide sets in his second year in Seattle now that Doug Baldwin has retired. Baldwin and Tyler Lockett combined for most of the offense from the receiver room in 2018. Brown was the eighth most targeted receiver but had 14 catches for 166 yards and a career-high five touchdowns on his 19 targets last year. He told ESPN's John Clayton that he's focusing on yards after the catch this offseason and has bulked up. "I also got a little bit bigger. I’m at 220 right now, so I added some more muscle, wanted to get bigger. Might be playing on the outside, might be playing in the slot a little bit, and blocking those big defensive ends, so I wanted to add a little more weight," Brown said. He should be third behind Lockett and rookie D.K. Metcalf, which will make him a deep sleeper worth taking a flier on late in fantasy drafts.
