Jaren Jackson Jr. Leads Memphis With 26 Points
3 years agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. scored a team-high 26 points on 9-for-19 shooting in Wednesday's loss to Dallas, finishing 2-for-7 from downtown and 6-for-8 at the foul line. He pulled down seven rebounds and tallied one assist, one steal and two blocks with three turnovers in 34 minutes. Jaren Jackson Jr. is having a nice season on the defensive end with a career-high two blocks per game, and he's also hit his stride offensively in recent outings, going for 20-plus points three times in five games. He'll head back out on Thursday in a tough matchup against the Lakers. The 22-year-old shot just 3-for-12 from the field and settled for 12 points in this season's first head-to-head battle between the two sides.
