Jaren Jackson Jr. Does A Lot In Limited Minutes
3 years agoMemphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. produced 18 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks in just 24 minutes Monday night in a blowout win over the Rockets, shooting 7-for-14 from the field with a 2-for-6 effort from downtown. It was the perfect response to a four-point dud the 22-year-old had in his previous outing against New Orleans. Jackson Jr. tends to lay an egg here and there, but he's having a solid season overall and is averaging 14 points with 5.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. It would be nice to see him playing more, as head coach Taylor Jenkins has given him only 26.5 minutes a night, but maybe that will come later in the season. Jackson Jr. also needs to work on his shooting, with him having so far hit only 38.3 percent of his shots.
