Jared Spurgeon Ties Wild Record With Seven-Game Point Streak
3 years agoMinnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon had a goal and assist in Sunday's 6-3 victory over the Kings to tie a franchise record for the longest point streak by a defenseman. He now finds himself on a seven-game streak. Ryan Suter set the record in 2013-14 and Matt Dumba was the last Wild blue-liner to reach a seven-game streak in 2018-19. Spurgeon has taken his tally for the season to 36 points, and he also sits on 69 blocks through 56 games. The Wild captain does it all for the team each night and has been a solid piece for fantasy managers as well.
