Jared Goff Open To Contract Restructure
5 years agoLos Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff said he'd be open to restructuring his contract to free up some salary cap space for the team. Goff signed for four years and $134 million last September, with $110 million guaranteed. The two-time Pro Bowler also had the worst of his three full seasons in 2019, and the Rams were forced to let several players go, including running back Todd Gurley, because of their strenuous salary cap position. Losing Gurley in the backfield will hurt, but Goff still has two very capable receivers at his disposal in Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, and the tight end duo of Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett is intriguing. But after last year's flop, Goff will be more of a midrange fantasy backup.
