Jameson Taillon Won't Pitch In 2020
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow), who is recovering from Tommy John surgery last August, said the team has shut him down from pitching in 2020. Taillon said that the issue is that the season is already being shortened this year due to the coronavirus. The 28-year-old right-hander made just seven starts last year before his injury. The former second overall pick in the 2010 draft had a great season in 2018, going 14-10 with a career-best 3.20 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 179 strikeouts in 191 innings over 32 starts. He has high-end fantasy potential whenever he gets back on the bump, and he may even come at a nice discount in 2021 redraft leagues. Hang onto him in dynasty/keeper formats.
