Jameson Taillon To Be Re-Evaluated Tuesday
6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon was nicked in the head by a tipped line drive during his start on Monday against the Cubs and will be re-evaluated on Tuesday. He was examined after the game by a doctor and the results were normal. Taillon wound up going only two innings in the contest, allowing four hits and six runs (none of them earned) while walking two and striking out four. He's now 0-2 on the season, but only five of his 11 runs given up have been earned (3.00 ERA). This start is one to discard and chalk up to an unfortunate day. It doesn't look like his injury is very serious, so plan on starting him the next time out.
