James Paxton To Miss At Least One Start
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (forearm) will miss at least one start after being hit in the left forearm by a line drive in his start on Tuesday. However, manager Scott Servais says the injury could have been much worse. Felix Hernandez is the logical replacement to take Paxton's next turn in the rotation. That might be the best-case scenario for Paxton and his fantasy owners. He's been a solid No. 2 fantasy starter in all leagues this year. Hernandez, on the other hand, has really been in a decline and was demoted to the bullpen last week after posting a career-worst 5.73 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 99 strikeouts in 124 innings over 23 starts. He's probably not the best streaming option if he fills in for Paxton.
