James Conner's Injury Not Considered Serious
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner's (leg) right lower leg injury is not considered to be serious, and he's believed to be dealing with a lower leg contusion. It seems like Conner will be OK to play in Week 14 in an excellent matchup against the Raiders, but we'll have to see how much he practices this week. Conner had 60 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries and added three catches for 14 yards in the Sunday night loss to the Chargers before he left late in the fourth quarter. Rookie Jaylen Samuels had a 10-yard touchdown catch after Conner departed, and he'd benefit the most if Conner was forced to miss the next game. If Conner winds up playing through his injury, he'll be an RB1 in a game the Steelers should win.
