James Conner Limps Off Sunday Night
6 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner (leg) was injured in the fourth quarter of the Sunday night game against the Chargers and limped off with trainers. Conner was injured on a screen play in which the defender rolled up on his leg. It could be the dreaded high ankle sprain, but we'll have to wait and see what his tests show on Monday. Before departing, Conner had 15 carries for 60 yards and two touchdowns and added three receptions for an extra 14 yards on four targets. He's been a high-end RB1 all year with Le'Veon Bell holding out, but he could be looking at missed time heading into the fantasy playoffs. Rookie Jaylen Samuels immediately scored a short receiving touchdown after Conner left and would have RB2 appeal moving forward if Conner is forced to miss any games.
