Jalen Hurts To Sign $255 Million Contract Extension
2 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and the team agreed to a five-year, $255 million contract extension on Monday, according to multiple reports, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. He'll receive $51 million per year in new money. The extension also includes a no-trade clause and $179.3 million guaranteed. The 24-year-old cashes in after leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl appearance last season in his second season as the full-time starter. Hurts made it clear last year that he's already one of the best signal-callers in the game, and his dual-threat abilities under center make him incredibly tough to defend. He has all the weapons around him that he needs in Philly, too, and Hurts will be one of the first QBs off the board in fantasy drafts this fall.
