Jalen Hurts Gives The Eagles Offense Signs Of Life
4 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles rookie quarterback was able to give the Eagles offense some signs of life in Sunday's loss. Hurts took over for starter Carson Wentz, who was finally benched after another terrible showing. Hurts ended up completing five of his 12 passes for 109 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He also ran the ball five times for 29 yards. While Hurts was by no means great, he thoroughly outplayed Carson Wentz and realistically deserves a chance to start next week. No word yet from coach Doug Pederson on that though. The Eagles face the New Orleans Saints next week, meaning neither quarterback would be a particularly exciting fantasy option anyway.
