Jake Lamb To Play Third Base Again?
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks corner infielder Jake Lamb took ground balls at third base on Monday for the first time since last season and told manager Torey Lovullo that he's comfortable playing there again. Lamb spent spring training transitioning to first base, but Christian Walker has been hot to start the year and has been playing over him. Lovullo wants to find a way for Lamb and Walker to play at the same time and said that Lamb will "play third base here sooner than later." Lamb has struggled against lefties in his career and is just 2-for-11 (.182) to begin the year. While he might see some time at the hot corner, don't count on it being a regular occurrence. As long as he's in a platoon with Walker, Lamb is strictly an NL-only and DFS player.
