Jack Flaherty Named Opening Day Starter
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Shildt announced that right-handed pitcher Jack Flaherty will get the Opening Day start against the Cincinnati Reds. Flaherty had a bit of a down season in the abbreviated 2020 campaign, posting a 4.91 ERA, but he was excellent in 2019, with a 2.75 ERA to go with 11 wins. The 25-year-old has consistently maintained a strike out rate over 28% and approaching 30. He's a solid fantasy starter with upside despite some concerns raised by his performance last season.
