Jack Flaherty Gets Off To A Rough Start On Sunday
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals Opening Day starting pitcher Jack Flaherty got off to a rough start in the first Cardinals Grapefruit League game on Sunday. Flaherty got the start but only pitched one inning, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks while striking out one. Flaherty threw 39 pitches in his lone inning, just 17 for strikes. This early in the spring (literally February) a rough start is nothing to worry about, but after regressing in almost all relevant categories in the short 2020 season, Flaherty is someone to keep an eye on throughout the spring. He should be fine by the time Opening Day rolls around, but he may be somewhat overdrafted at this point of the fantasy season.
