J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Goes To Eagles
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles selected Stanford wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside with the No. 57 overall pick in the 2019 NFL draft. Arcega-Whiteside loves to win jump balls due to his basketball background, and it helps that he has very strong hands. He has plenty of speed to bring to the table as well. He'll likely struggle to beat man coverage in the NFL and is more of a possession receiver, but he has upside in the long run as a touchdown-dependant wideout for the Eagles. It'll be a long shot if he carves out fantasy relevance for owners in 2019. The addition of Arcega-Whiteside could lead the Eagles to trade Nelson Agholor. Even if they don't, Agholor's role in Philly's offense should shrink in 2019.
