J.J. Arcega-Whiteside Battled Multiple Injuries In 2019
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside caught only 10 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown and never meshed in head coach Doug Pederson's offense in his rookie season. And the Eagles addressed the position in the draft and through a trade this offseason, so Arcega-Whiteside's future in the offense isn't that clear. At one point last year, he said he needed help just to walk to the bathroom because of his lower body injury. Arcega-Whiteside was active for all 16 games in 2019, but he battled through his injuries while learning the nuances of the NFL. Better health and more chemistry with quarterback Carson Wentz could help, but there will be way more bodies to compete with in the receiver room if everyone stays healthy. Most owners will ignore him in standard leagues, but Arcega-Whiteside is still a firm dynasty hold.
