1 year agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Ivan Prosvetov will be the man between the sticks for the team in Wednesday's battle against St. Louis. The 24-year-old will make his first start of the campaign. He's only seen 8:05 of action so far in 2023-24, which came last week in a 4-0 loss to Pittsburgh. Wednesday will also mark his first start with the Avalanche. Prosvetov has made all of his previous 14 career appearances with Arizona. He didn't have a great time in the desert, going 4-6-1 with a 4.07 goals-against average and a .880 save percentage. Having joined a much stronger team, Prosvetov should have a lot more success in 2023-24, and Wednesday's matchup is a very favorable one for him against a team that has averaged only 1.86 goals per game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
