Indians Put Josh Donaldson On DL
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians placed third baseman Josh Donaldson (calf) on the 10-day disabled list on Monday. The move is retroactive to Sept. 1. He will play third base and bat second for Triple-A Columbus on Monday. Donaldson was making some progress on a rehab assignment with Toronto before being traded to the Indians, so there's a chance he could make his debut with the Tribe by next week. The 32-year-old has only played in 36 games this year and has five homers and 16 RBI, but he could be a difference maker for fantasy owners when he returns. Jose Ramirez will shift to the keystone and Jason Kipnis will go to center field when Donaldson is ready.
