Indians Agree With Carlos Gonzalez
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians agreed to a one-year deal with free-agent outfielder Carlos Gonzalez on Saturday worth $2 million in base salary with $1 million in incentives. Car-Go will also receive a non-roster invite to spring training. The left-handed slugger hit .276/.329/.467 with 16 home runs in 132 games in his final season with Colorado. The 33-year-old has 231 homers in his 11 years in the majors. Given Cleveland's lack of options in the outfield, Gonzalez could win a roster spot, but his fantasy appeal outside of Coors Field is lacking. He'd only be worth an AL-only flier if he makes the team and sees consistent playing time.
