Indians Acquire Leonys Martin
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians acquired outfielder Leonys Martin from the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday in exchange for shortstop Willi Castro, according to sources. Martin has been a decent leadoff guy for Detroit this year, slashing .251/.321/.409 with nine home runs, 29 RBI and seven stolen bases. He becomes a little more intriguing in deep mixed leagues with a move to the first-place Indians. Castro was hitting .245 with five home runs, 39 RBI and 13 stolen bases in 97 games for Double-A. He is not among the team's top-30 prospects.
