Indians Acquire Kevin Plawecki
6 years agoThe Cleveland Indians acquired catcher Kevin Plawecki from the New York Mets on Sunday in exchange for minor league pitcher Walker Lockett and infielder Sam Haggerty. Plawecki hit just .210 with seven home runs in 79 games in 2018 and has hit just .218 with 14 homers and 75 RBI in 237 games over four seasons. With Eric Haase and Roberto Perez the only catchers on roster in Cleveland, Plawecki projects to see most of the playing time in 2019 with the Tribe. Still, he's not much of a fantasy consideration unless you're in a deep two-catcher league. Lockett had a 4.73 ERA in 23 games with Triple-A last year, while Haggerty spent most of his year at Double-A, hitting .243/.373/.396.
