Ian Desmond To Be Primary Center Fielder
6 years agoColorado Rockies manager Bud Black said that outfielder Ian Desmond will be the team's primary center fielder this year while also seeing occasional time in left field. It's part of Colorado's plan to move Charlie Blackmon to a corner outfield spot to take some stress off his body in spacious Coors Field. Desmond's fantasy stock is on the rise with more concrete playing time in 2019. He hit just .236 last season but had 22 home runs, 88 RBI and 20 stolen bases in 160 games. The 33-year-old is also eligible at first base and his mix of power and speed makes him a solid late-round investment in mixed leagues.
