Hunter Strickland Suffers Setback
5 years agoSeattle Mariners closer Hunter Strickland (lat) felt soreness while throwing his live batting practice session on Sunday and is putting his throwing program on hold for a few days. Manager Scott Servais called it a setback. Strickland has been out basically the entire season, so this is frustrating to his fantasy owners, but at least it's not too serious. The hard-throwing right-hander should resume closing duties when he's back, but the M's might also choose to ease him back in after such a long absence. Roenis Elias remains the best bet for saves in Seattle's bullpen until Strickland returns, but it's been a situation to avoid for most fantasy owners.
