Hunter Strickland, Felix Hernandez Making Strides
5 years agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Hunter Strickland (lat) will throw live batting practice at Triple-A Tacoma on Wednesday. If his session goes well, he will likely start a rehab assignment at Tacoma or elsewhere later this week. Starter Felix Hernandez (lat) will throw his first bullpen session on Thursday. Strickland has been out since late March but should be in the mix for save chances when he's back in Seattle. He's worth stashing now for those desperate in the saves category, as Roenis Elias hasn't exactly staked his claim to the job the rest of the way. King Felix has been out since May 11 and was sporting a rough 6.52 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 34 K's in 38 2/3 innings (eight starts) before his injury. The future Hall of Famer is running on fumes at this point in his career and should be avoided by most fantasy owners.
