Hunter Pence Won't Play This Weekend
5 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Hunter Pence (back) will not play at all this weekend due to lower back tightness. He felt the tightness while working in the batting cage on Friday and was scratched from the lineup. The team is hoping that Pence will be ready to return for a two-game series that starts on Tuesday against the Angels. Texas has the day off Monday. Pence is the leading candidate for Comeback Player of the Year by hitting .297/.358/.552 with 18 home runs, 53 runs, 59 RBI and six stolen bases, but the injury bug is slowing him down in the second half. Keep Pence stashed and hope that he can return next week.
